City Wharf, LichfieldRidge was appointed by its Client to manage and lead a multi-discipline design team to deliver a new build commercial office development comprising multiple buildings. The design created four two-storey office buildings which provide a range of accommodation sizes and offer flexibility and diversity. The larger buildings were subdivided into three 2-storey units and two core areas. The project included external works and landscaping, including provision of car parking areas located off a central spine road. Site constraints during construction included the close proximity of the railway line and the site being sandwiched between adjacent residential areas. During construction, the Contractor went into Administration bringing added complications to the building contract. Ridge was closely involved with ensuring the Contract Works were completed as quickly as possible and undertook the following key tasks:
