Heritage
The conservation of listed buildings presents a range of requirements not associated with new constructions - including listed building consents, conservation plans, sourcing of materials and specialist trades, increased risk of hidden costs, and often involves projects with external funders and multiple stakeholders.
We have worked with owners and occupiers of historic buildings and estates covering such issues, and possess the depth of experience and expertise required to meet the requirements of The National Trust, English Heritage, the Heritage Lottery Fund and similar conservation bodies.
Experience includes
- Grade l, ll* and ll buildings - public and private
- Extensions to listed buildings including churches, palaces, museums and galleries etc
- Conservation of terracotta statuary, historic timber and stonework.
- Fire precaution works
- Conversions of barns and disused properties
