Golf Clubhouse,
Collingtree Park

The building is contemporary in design, using a mixture of modern and traditional materials. The walls have stained timber boarding and painted render with a slate coloured composite panel roof. The internal layout has been developed to ensure the whole building is suitable for disabled people to access all areas. A veranda at the front offers members a place to watch activity on the course whilst enjoying a relaxing drink from the bar.

To improve the visibility the building has been raised by 1m. Large areas of glazing provide long views down the fairway, whilst wide eaves overhangs reduce the amount of solar gain. The building is designed to minimise the effects of solar gain whilst maximising opportunities for passive ventilation.

Internally the building has the service areas at the rear, within a naturally screened area for the benefit of the members, their guests and the local residents. A spacious interior includes a Caddy Master area; locker rooms and a bar serving snacks etc. on the ground floor. On the first floor, there is a 100-place restaurant.
