John Lewis PartnershipRidge is working closely with JLP as project advisors on several major store refurbishments and new-builds across the UK. In some cases such as the Leicester Shires redevelopment, the JLP are part of a £300million redevelopment project which is on a complex existing site in the city centre. The schemes Ridge has been appointed on range from an £8million, purpose built Conference Centre project, to involvement with the £800million Leeds Eastgate redevelopment. All these schemes are significant in size and complexity with a fit-out value of cira £30million each. Oxford StreetRidge acted as Project Managers for the redevelopment of the John Lewis department store in Oxford Street, London. This construction project involved the construction of two seven story atriums, the installation of 24 escalators, provision of two new restaurants, construction of John Lewis’s first luxury food hall, new retail fit-out throughout and provision of complete new services infra structure, all within a trading branch. LeicesterOn the Leicester project Ridge provided advice and project management support services during the agreement to lease negotiations, shell design development and construction as well as carrying out the role of on-site Project Manager and Contract Administrator during the fit-out and shop-fit stage of the project.
