Wycombe Marsh Retail ParkA development of a brownfield site to form a retail park, community building and restaurant including the diversion of the River Wye and extensive civil engineering works. Ridge have completed phase one of a £12 million redevelopment project for Kennet Properties Ltd, well below budget and within the client’s time requirements. Wycombe Retail Park includes five retail units covering 104,000-sq.ft with a restaurant, community building, car parking and service areas. The site has been populated by PC World, Comet, Wickes, KFC, Furniture Village, Marks & Spencer and Pizza Hut. Diversion of the River Wye and the widening of the adjacent London Road had to be factored into the development, which in-turn has improved the river, provided extensive landscaping and reduced traffic congestion, which was a major issue in this area of the town. The redevelopment of the former Bunzl Paper Mill - a few miles east of High Wycombe’s town centre - into a retail park created local job opportunities and assists with local regeneration, as well as attracting new visitors to the town. |
