The Clockhouse, Kensington, London
This project involved the refurbishment of an existing office building at the end of a quiet London mews. The building had low floor to floor heights, inadequate daylight, poor ventilation and an awkward plan.The project was to create a dignified, paperless and highly serviced office to enhance the slick professional image of this ambitious new company.
The challenge was to conceal the M & E services, multimedia equipment, kitchen, workspace and the presentation suite in this mews building. Bespoke lighting, fitted furniture and storage units were designed to marry with the limited palette of materials and style of the other furniture and fittings.
The interior is finished in high quality and meticulously detailed materials creating a timeless, cool and calm atmosphere. The project was successful at incorporating all the practicalities of a state of the art office without compromise, creating a refined environment to work in and an enigmatic place to visit.
