Vyne Road, Basingstoke

Acting as Employer's Agent and Cost Consultants to Kingfisher Housing Association, Ridge are proud to have been  involved with this landmark scheme in central Basingstoke.

The scheme comprised the development of a former warehouse and wholesale unit into 30 one-bedroom flats.  Unusually the scheme is car free, with a high density of units on a narrow site located between a public car park and Basingstoke station.  The units have been designed to a high level of specification, with balconies and other individual features in keeping with the town centre's ongoing re-development. The contract was negotiated with a local contractor, Goodall Barnard.  Ridge entered into a partnering charter with the client and the contractor.  The development was successfully delivered along partnering principles.

The Partnering Charter and scheme commencement were publicly marked by the ceremonial burial of a time capsule.  The scheme was successfully completed on programme and within budget.
