Professional Property Services for Wiltshire Police Authority

Police Headquarters, Police Stations, Police houses and flats as well as other ancillary buildings (totalling over 100 properties) are managed by Ridge under a five year term commission.

The services provided include building maintenance management services, minor non-specialist feasibility and design services and facilities management.

Gablecross Police Station, Swindon

This is a PFI funded project for Wiltshire Police Authority. Ridge offered advice and project management services at the procurement stages including the Public Sector Comparator case, identifying and setting the brief, preparation of Employers Requirements working on behalf of the client.

Ridge had a dual role, during construction: One role acting as technical Adviser solely for the Police Authority, and secondly as Independent Certifiers - a team of BS, QS and M&E Engineers from Ridge checking for compliance with works plan specifications and reviewing design data. The new building is 10000m2 on A420 at South Marston on the outskirts of Swindon. The building comprises a three storey main administration and operations block, a single storey 40 cell custody suite, garages and vehicle workshops and a two storey dedicated Vulnerable Persons Unit, together with a 200 plus space car park.
