Topping out ceremony marks progress for RAU Growth Hub

The design for a new structure at the Royal Agriculture University (RAU), Cirencester campus, reached a milestone recently as a ‘topping out’ ceremony took place on-site.

The building is taking shape to provide support for business when it completes and opens later this year.

The new structure will be home to the Growth Hub, an initiative to help boost the county’s economy by assisting local businesses from a variety of sectors to create jobs and reach their potential.

One floor will be used by Farm491, the University’s expanding and innovative hub. Opened in 2016, Farm 491 offers an affordable and flexible co-working environment for business and entrepreneurs using technology to improve sustainable food production. In addition to this, there is also 491 hectares of farmland for research and testing purposes.
