A professional department providing general structural advice, including design, feasibility studies, building defects and assisting clients in assessing and controlling structural aspect of projects.

The structural engineering discipline offers a broad a range of professional structural engineering advice both within the Ridge teams and directly for Clients.

The department has a wide range of experience of various types of buildings including new and existing commercial, retail, educational, domestic and industrial structures.
 
We offer general structural advice including:

  • Design for alterations and refurbishment of listed and historic buildings
  • Design for new works and alterations to existing industrial buildings, including special foundations for plant and machinery
  • Feasibility studies for structural works
  • Reporting on building defect of a structural nature including monitoring of movements
  • Design of repairs relating to building defects
  • Structural design and advice relating to alterations to commercial, industrial and domestic buildings
