Corporate Social Responsibility

Ridge understands the requirements of the Public Services (Social Value) Act.  We actively deliver social value by making a significant contribution to jobs, apprenticeships, services, support, investment and the environment in our local communities.

We are also proud supporters of service personnel and their families through the Armed Forces Covenant Scheme.

Ridge delivers on all Social Value themes by:

  1. “Developing and Growing a Skilled Workforce” – providing employment and training opportunities including work experience and mentoring;
  2. “Encouraging Healthy Lifestyles and Independence” – encouraging staff, the supply chain and stakeholders to adopt workplace health initiatives;
  3. “Supporting More People to be Active in their Communities” – providing initiatives for local schools, colleges and communities;
  4. “Supporting Local Business to Develop and Grow” – maximising supply chain opportunities for local SME’s, Third Sector organisations and social enterprises;
  5. “Supporting Reduction to the Carbon Footprint and Eliminating Unnecessary Waste” – championing the use of sustainable materials, products and environmental solutions based on whole life costing that meets local targets and minimises waste.
