Multi Storey Car Park for Jaguar Land Rover – Health and SafetyCastle Bromwich
A new multi-storey car park, providing 1,500 spaces, 600 for employee parking and 700 spaces for product parking.
This major new car park provides an increase in the existing parking capacity for both employees and products in a location immediately adjacent to the plant. The site lies along a highly prominent arterial route, and acts as an entry marker for the JLR site. The Ridge design reflects this context with a refined and elegant translucent skin of perforated metal and louvres which softens the elevation and gives depth to the façade. This also provides a visual screen and protection for the new product parking, as well as allowing the building to glow at night. The development also sees a significant increase in the car share provision, together with space for electric vehicle charging, with the infrastructure to expand significantly this provision. The existing surface car park houses around 1,100 vehicles. The proposal increases the capacity on the site to 2,000 employee parking spaces in both surface parking and within the MSCP.
