Ridge was seconded into Sainsburys internal Value Management team in 2018/19 to assist with a wide range of value engineering, generic rate card, project mechanical and electrical services cost negotiations with approved framework contractors.
The services involved value engineering exercises working with the supply chain to procure best value for plant, equipment and materials across new stores, new distribution centres, convenience stores, Argos integration programmes, store remodels, new initiative roll out programmes and maintenance rectification programmes, taking maintenance and energy into consideration.
Existing services rate cards for all store and project types were analysed and benchmarked. A new workstream schedule of rates was produced and agreed with the supply chain, to be used to negotiate future workload across the UK and Ireland.
