Green Man Lane Estate Regeneration

Green Man Lane Projects - Ridge & Partners LLP

This exciting £155 million project is to breathe new life into a run-down 1970s estate in Ealing, West London. Planning permission has been granted for 764 new homes as part of a wider scheme to regenerate the Green Man Estate in West Ealing, which is due to complete in 2018.

Ealing Council has chosen developer Rydon in a joint venture partnership with housing provider A2Dominion Group to create a new neighbourhood where people can live and work, and where they can feel safe. As part of the regeneration project, 464 existing homes will be demolished in phases to make way for replacement properties for affordable rent, shared ownership and outright sale.

Ridge is involved in the £26.5 million phase to build 188 new homes, which is the second phase of the overall four-phase regeneration scheme. This will include apartment buildings that will be up to eight storeys in height and houses constructed using timber frames.

The phase of the development on which we are working will also deliver new community buildings and facilities. One of the highlights of this phase is the Gateway Building on the corner of Williams Road and Singapore Road, which will lead to the public park and a footpath through the completed development.

All new homes for this project have been designed to achieve Level 4 of the Code for Sustainable Homes. Ridge is an integral part of the team ensuring that phase two meets the client’s aspirations to transform the Green Man Lane estate into an attractive, safe and sustainable community where people are proud to live.
