Building EZ1 forms part of the greater Milton Park business campus development
Ridge was employed to provide services to construct the shell and core fit-out of a 67,500sqft (GIA) building ready to accept laboratory fit out, including associated external works. As with the other Milton Park buildings, maintaining a cohesive campus identity was also of importance to the client.
The client designed the masterplan of the central area of Milton Park confirming four new buildings. The client secured a pre-let agreement with a major employer and confirmed Plot A (Building 60) would proceed.
It was important for the tenant to occupy the building as soon as practicable so a suitable procurement strategy was developed to expedite the programme.
Due to the time frame and proximity to the works being undertaken on the adjoining Plot B, the client confirmed it wished to negotiate a contract sum. Ridge successfully negotiated this with the contractor working on Plot B in a timely fashion, in order to secure an early start date.
