Sam Newson Building, Boston College Shortlisted for RICS Award

The Sam Newson Music Centre at Boston College has been shortlisted for an RICS East Midlands award under the ‘Building Conservation’ category.

Boston College’s newly refurbished centre is a dedicated music and performing arts building. The Centre has recently undergone complete modernisation with new decor, lighting and flooring, bringing it firmly into the 21st Century.

The College has offered music courses in the former County Council owned premises for nearly 40 years, but after fully purchasing the building in 2016 there have been significant improvement for the wider community to enjoy.

With eight categories, the RICS awards recognise the most innovative projects in the region and their impact on local communities. The East Midlands awards ceremony takes place on Thursday 3rd May at Nottingham Belfry.
